The rubber chip has been fully recycled from old running track and astro turf base layer.
It is stripped up and put through a shredder where it comes out at between anything from 5mm – 40mm chunks as you can see in the photos.

It has very good impact absorption as it is made up of many small pieces of rubber and not big chunks.
